Notes:
The above search facility covers reports from 1952 to 2005.   Later reports will be catalogued following ongoing dircussions with other organisations who also hold copies of many of these documents.  None of the source records are fully inclusive or necessarily completely up to date.  It often takes several years to obtain the reports and enter them in catalogues.  Alternative sources of information are as follows:

The Mount Everest Foundation  provide many of the grants and in return get reports on all expeditions which they sponsor.  These are catalogued by year so may not be ideal for wide time period or specific area searches. They include report summaries, but the MEF do not keep the actual reports so cannot provide copies.  The original reports are distributed to The Alpine Club, The BMC, Sheffield Library, and The Royal Geographical Society.

The BMC.  Most of the reports here are from the MEF and are catalogued by area.  This includes summaries, and PDFs of the originals can be downloaded.  THE BMC also provide some grants themselves and in return get copies of the reports as well.  Most date from 1990 onwards.

The Al Rouse Collection at Sheffield City Library.  'Words or phrase'  Expedition Reports.  These are recorded sequentially by year.  Summaries are provided and photo copies can be obtained. Most reports date from 2000.   The full catalogue can be downloaded as a PDF.

The Royal Geographical Society.  Reports date from 1965.  Search facilities are good and summaries are provided. Documents are available for consultation, by prior appointment, in the Foyle Reading Room. Where duplicates exist these can sometimes be loaned, or occasionally photocopied.

The Alpine Club Himalayan Index may also be a useful source of information.
